Modelaine Amblard bases her pictorial approach on the imperfections, contradictions and nonsense of human nature, adding a touch of absurd humor filled with benevolence. The Painter brings to light de-dramatized realities, offering a positive and poetic reading of Life. Modelaine Amblard offers a genuine insight into the complexity and beauty of the human condition.
Modelaine Amblard is inspired by the codes of surrealism and the absurd. The painter’s artistic journey is rooted in the colors of life, humorously twisted in her work. Modelaine Amblard trained and graduated from the prestigious Emile Cohl drawing school in Lyon. The artist’s works are regularly exhibited and belong to Private Collections in France.
The series “Les Mooziarfs” by Modelaine Amblard
With my characters, which I’ve called “The Mooziarfs,” I emphasize the inherent complexity of the human being. This series of acrylic paintings depicts the sometimes comical situations I’m personally faced with. The result is an entire family whose bright colors accentuate the duality between light-hearted comedy and the reality of our existence.
