Our news : January 2026

We are delighted to announce that Art Trope Gallery will be part of the first edition of the ST-ART Contemporary Art Fair in Rennes, France.
The fair will be held at The Couvent des Jacobins (20 Place Sainte-Anne, 35000 Rennes) from 23rd to 26th January 2026.

Opening reception: Friday 23 January 2026, 5-10 p.m., by invitation only

For this edition, Art Trope Gallery, under the curatorial direction of Virginie Tison, presents an exhibition entitled “Territoires Sensibles” (Sensitive Territories) at booth 03-04, focusing on the exploration of interior, urban, symbolic, and emotional spaces.

“Territoires Sensibles” offers a dialogue between five contemporary artists: Romain Liverato, Sabrina Le Roux, Florence Sartori, Rodolfo Franchi, and Jean-Claude Bertrand.

They explore how we live in the world through Nature, the city, intimate relationships, symbols, and emotions.

Romain Liverato‘s artistic approach stems from a relentless quest to capture the natural landscape in all its grandeur. His photography celebrates Nature for its own sake, in all its sovereignty and independence, free from any anthropocentric interpretation.

His work combines different types of media to explore the tension between aesthetic contemplation and environmental questioning. It explores the complex relationship between humans and nature, inviting the viewer to reflect in a new way on our relationship with living things.

Romain LIVERATO

Sabrina Le Roux searches in her photographic works for the essence of life. She captures the magic of our environment and highlights the question humanity’s place on Earth. The Artist’s quest aims for reflection, astonishment or even questioning through her photographs. Her works are the result of a process that lies between dream and reality bordering on symbolism. Sabrina Le Roux wishes to convey to the world an intimacy between humans and their environment.

Sabrina LE ROUX

Florence Sartori‘s sculptural practice revolves around the representation of the female body, considered in its universal, expressive, and free dimension. Inspired by the arts of movement, and especially by dance, she questions body language, its internal tension, its flexibility, and its presence in space. Florence Sartori’s sculptures embody a free and timeless femininity. Between abstract lines and controlled sensuality, her work offers a refined yet vibrant interpretation of the contemporary female condition.

The uniqueness of Rodolfo Franchi‘s work is underlined by his ability to enhance and even divert everyday objects and circumstances from their original function, to put a frame on an existing place, to open a window where there is none. Cicero’s quote “The eyes are the mirror of the soul” fits perfectly with the work of this photographer, who suggests that the beginning of a successful image is a combination of aestheticism, graphic rigour and the right lighting.

Rodolfo FRANCHI

The uniqueness of Jean-Claude Bertrand‘s work lies in his ability to translate the vibration of reality.  Through a living, open, and sensory abstraction, he composes his works as spaces for perceptual experimentation, where matter becomes language and color becomes memory. His work lies at the crossroads of the arts, the senses, and memories, like a sensitive and universal language that connects perception, matter, and humanity.

Jean-Claude BERTRAND

By bringing together these five art world, Art Trope Gallery offers an immersive journey where painting, photography and sculpture engage in dialogue.

Each piece of art becomes a space to explore, a trace, a memory or a projection. It is a journey that leads from one territory to another, towards a broader vision of the human experience.
