Art Trope Gallery presents you the portrait of the American Actor and Photographer Norman Reedus

We are delighted to highlight the portrait of the American Actor and Photographer Norman Reedus, presented in the exhibition “Alterity: I is an Other” from July 04 to September 03, 2022 at Art Trope Gallery.

Norman Reedus has lived all over the world and is a true renaissance man. He began his career as a sculptor and painter before venturing into acting via theater. His fans know and love him from all the way back to BOONDOCK SAINTS, and as the star from AMC’s massively successful series THE WALKING DEAD. He also has an AMC series called RIDE WITH NORMAN REEDUS where he takes celebrity guests all over the world.

Norman has always had a passion for photography. He is never without his camera. Like his life on set and in the real world, Reedus’ images vacillate between the real and surreal. Certain portraits remain vivid and clear, while others are washed in intrigue: grainy, hazy and obscured. What unites all these faces are the eyes that see them: Norman’s. From those eyes come a piercing intimacy, both precious and rare. Reedus has always been an artist in the sense that there was never much of a boundary between his lifestyle and his personal aesthetic. 

Norman Reedus’s photography has also been exhibited around the world; his most recent solo exhibition was in Copenhagen at Gallery Poulsen in January 2022. His photography was featured in Sotheby’s Post War and Contemporary Photography auction. In 2019, Norman had photography exhibitions in Art Basel, Art Wynwood, Art Herning in Copenhagen, Paris Contemporary Art Show and more.
