Hélène Hubert rehabilitates absence, infusing it with life to awaken memories and catch their state of eternal continuity. She reveals the flows of energy invisible to our eyes. With her camera, her “emotional sponge” she captures the vibrant secrets of her subjects and echoes of the past, in these fleeting moments, when a trickle of light makes spaces, subjects, reflections, and shadows speak. Hints of presence and silhouettes suggest the existence of parallel worlds and doors waiting to be opened.
” Sensors properties undeniably transcend the limitations of our current visual reality. Their powerful perception enables us to see the infinite energy of our relationships with our environment.” This is how the artist gradually blurs the spatio-temporal boundaries that shape the rmarkers of our reality.
Her atmospheres, whether aquatic, icy or vegetal, make everyday landscapes shift into dreamlike realms and reveal themselves in a new light. The visual aesthetic that unfolds in her works has a pictorial fragrance that echoes both surrealism and the Japanese inspirations of Impressionism.
Hélène Hubert unfurls poetic and suspended worlds in which, despite the absence of human presence, life bursts forth from all sides. In these empty spaces, we can hear the echoes of laughter and whispers, the imprint of people who have passed this way.
“Another, an ever-present elsewhere edged with blue and beauty”.
It is an invitation to a peaceful journey, a luminous crossing of rediscovered worlds.
In her compositions, blues unfold with great delicacy, revealing a palette of ethereal textures that transcends simple shades of color. The hues fluctuate between aquamarine, turquoise, cyan and royal blue, intertwining to create great depth. Each shade seems to slip away, melting into a space where light and shadow dance in harmony.
For Hélène Hubert, the colors of the blue, in all their diversity, are the vehicle of a deep emotion. They convey both the serenity of calm seas and the turbulence of the ocean’s depths, symbolizing both an inner and an outer journey. This duality invites contemplation and thoughts about our own existence and place in the universe.
“Her blues” are not limited to a simple chromatic representation, but rather assert themselves as a true sensory and intellectual exploration, a dialog in which each hue and texture tells a unique story, both personal and universal.
