Art Trope Gallery is delighted to announce the arrival of our new Painter : Anne-Sophie LARCENA.
Having collaborated with Art Coach on our Curator Virginie Tison’s Master Class and the course “Step #3 : Developing and accelerating the performance of your digital strategy” at Art Professional School, extending this collaboration to Art Trope Gallery to provide digital representation and support her artistic work was a natural next step.
Anne-Sophie LARCENA is a contemporary painter. She explores the complexity of movement and time through her paintings. Her work captures life in all its impermanence and energy.
Her brushstrokes are lively and spontaneous. She captures the moment in motion and leaves an artistic trace of the passage of time. Her works lie somewhere between figuration and abstraction. Transparency suggests the visible and the invisible, the past and the present.
Anne-Sophie Larcena’s paintings express fragility and resilience, constant movement, and a sense of being rooted in a fleeting reality. She offers a unique perspective on French contemporary art.
Virginie Tison has selected her series titled « Vibrations Lumineuses », which explores her deep connection to South America, a region whose identity resonates deeply with her through the adoption of her children.
This research builds on her ongoing artistic exploration while delving deeper into themes such as memory, movement, and traces.
This exploration also shifts the direction of her visual universe through the use of colors and shapes that have not previously been explored from this perspective.

Anne-Sophie LARCENA began exploring theater, film, and photography at an early age. These practices shaped her eye and laid the groundwork for her future career as an artist.
At Beaux-Arts of Paris, the City of Paris School of Fine Arts, she discovered her true calling through life drawing. Her journey has taught her that life is a series of choices and never linear. She went on to study at les Beaux-Arts de Versailles, the Versailles School of Fine Arts, where she honed her professional practice while opening her world to other art forms, influences that still inform her painting today.
Anne-Sophie Larcena exhibits regularly in France, and her works are held in private collections in France, Belgium, and the United States.
