Our news : May 2026
Art Trope Gallery is delighted to announce that our sculptor, Florence Sartori, has been selected for the 10th edition of International Woman’s Essence. This prestigious event will take place in Milan from 1 to 8 May 2026.
Since its inception in 2016, this international arts programme has established itself as a platform dedicated to showcasing female artists, with editions held in various European capitals, including Milan, Paris, Madrid, Berlin and London.
In 2020, a UNESCO-affiliated centre recognised Woman’s Essence as a project of excellence promoting gender equality. It is part of a committed cultural movement supporting women’s role in contemporary creation.
The selection of Florence Sartori highlights the uniqueness of her sculptural practice, centred on the representation of the female body. Through a refined formal approach and a focus on volumes, materials, and balance, her work develops a visual language that is both structured and sensitive, resonating with contemporary issues of life.
In this context, Florence Sartori will also be honoured as part of the Woman Art Award 2026, which is not a competitive prize, but rather international recognition aimed at supporting and promoting women artists engaged in the development of contemporary art scenes.
The event will feature two main highlights:
– An official ceremony on May 1, 2026, at the Fondazione San Fedele
– A group exhibition from May 2 to 8, 2026, at the Centro Culturale di Milano
This selection confirms Florence Sartori’s presence on the international art scene and underscores the relevance of her approach within socially engaged curatorial contexts.
Florence Sartori‘s sculptural practice revolves around the representation of the female body, considered in its universal, expressive, and free dimension. Inspired by the arts of movement, and in particular by dance, she questions body language, its internal tension, its flexibility, and its presence in space.
Her stylized, silent figures capture a suspended moment, a breath, a gesture that is both intimate and choreographed. Terracotta, her medium of choice, allows her to preserve the spontaneity of the modeling and the uniqueness of each piece. Bronze, which she approaches with aesthetic continuity, is also the subject of a demanding production in very limited series, where each patina reveals the work of the form.
Florence Sartori’s sculptures embody a free and timeless femininity. Balance, verticality, swaying hips, arabesques, arches, and suggested momentum: everything speaks of the body in motion and its evocative power. Between abstract lines and controlled sensuality, her work offers a refined yet vibrant interpretation of the contemporary female condition.
Florence Sartori has built her artistic career at the intersection of different artistic disciplines. Trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris, she developed early on in a world rich in sensitive expression, rubbing shoulders with musicians, dancers, actors, and visual artists. These constant exchanges nurtured a cross-disciplinary vision of art, in which the body and movement occupy a central place.
Her encounter with sculpture was a natural progression: a way of extending her artistic practice by giving form to what had previously belonged to the realm of gesture and intuition. She trained in various workshops, mastered the techniques of terracotta and bronze, and gradually forged a personal artistic language.
Her work is regularly exhibited in France, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, in galleries and contemporary art fairs. Her works also feature in several private collections around the world, reflecting the international resonance of her approach.

Virginie Tison has been a key player in the development of the contemporary art scene since 2008, helping artists to progress and grow their careers. The testimonials collected show how rigorous her approach is, how professional her standards are, and the tangible results she has achieved.
In a constantly changing art market, one question stands out: how can an artist expect to be represented by a gallery without a professional presentation of their work or structured management of their artistic practice?
Virginie Tison’s approach to overcoming this challenge involves providing customised assistance that is divided into various phases:
– targeted coaching and training sessions designed to realign all aspects of an artistic career, including messaging, strategy, image, organisation and development.
– Representation through Art Trope Gallery. This is aimed at promoting selected artists. It also provides them with professional digital tools. These are designed to create real growth opportunities.
– Participation in contemporary art fairs offers artists the opportunity to present their work to a targeted audience of collectors, position themselves within a real market context and boost their visibility.
Beyond strategic and operational considerations, collaboration within a group is a key indicator. It allows us to assess each individual’s ability to contribute to a collective dynamic. It achieves this by striking a balance between a collaborative spirit and individual initiative.
In this context, Virginie Tison advocates an approach rooted in a demanding yet mutually supportive spirit, viewed not as a mere posture but as a genuine framework for work. This relational standard is a key driver in fostering long-term collaborations and ensuring a cohesive professional environment.
Through this comprehensive approach, Virginie Tison brings a rigorous and structured vision of the artistic career, where talent and professional development advance inseparably.
