The creation of Art Coach and its Master Class
Virginie Tison founded Art Coach to offer tailor-made support to artists. The aim is to help them develop their creative potential, build their communication skills and create appropriate career development strategies through personalised support, training, advice and one-off assignments.
With this support, each artist becomes more professional and more autonomous in managing his or her career. To help artist-entrepreneurs prosper, Virginie Tison runs a 12-month Master Class, enabling them to work together in depth, with the aim of extending their collaboration over the long term.
Virginie Tison’s approach is based on building a mutually beneficial relationship with each artist, which is essential if we are to develop an intimate understanding of each other, enabling us to develop elements and strategies tailored to the situation of each artistic career, through personalised monitoring, training, advice and taking charge of certain aspects as required. The collaboration is built over the long term so that the artist can fully develop in his or her artistic environment.
Art Coach is personalised support, taking into account the specific characteristics of each artist and any questions they may have. For 12 months, Virginie Tison will work with you remotely to review, in groups and individually, all the aspects of your artistic career that are essential to its successful development.

Virginie Tison‘s passion for contemporary art, her expertise of the market and her personal commitment to artists and collectors are undisputed. After starting her career as a painter in Paris and New York, she founded Art Trope Gallery, which she also curates. Since 2008, she has been developing an innovative concept designed to support Artists, Collectors and other players in the world of Contemporary Art.
Art Trope Gallery‘s aim is to provide innovative long-term support for its artists, offering them dedicated showcases and international exposure through targeted networks. The uniqueness of the gallery is that it invites visitors to journey to the heart of the worlds of the artists represented, whether painters, photographers or sculptors. Art Trope Agency was created to consolidate, build and develop their international reputation over the long term.
The primary objective is to represent their artistic work in the best possible way, if necessary through the individual professionalisation of each Artist. Art Trope Gallery still needs to perfect its portfolio of Artists!
“Discovering an artist and his or her work is an open door to the wonder that stimulates our lives. Art is a perpetual discovery that connects our senses and emotions, also connecting us to the field of possibilities.”
– Virginie Tison

“Last year, I decided to get support in my artistic life in order to be more efficient inside my studio as well as outside. The strategic interview allowed me to concretely target my strong points, my expectations, my work’s perfectible aspects and to start a coaching session suited to my needs and meeting the art market requirements: appropriate communication, accurate materials, professional writings… As a result of the strategic discussion, I naturally continued this coached training by attending the masterclass offered by Virginie Tison and I am very satisfied, both on the professional and human level: relevant topics, clear progression, interactions with other artists etc…
I’ve been following the gallery’s activities since its inception, and I’ve seen its positive evolution and growth over the years. I chose to join Art Trope Gallery because a relationship of trust has developed between the gallery, its director Virginie Tison and myself. Over and above the gallery’s performance and the unfailing professionalism of its director, the privileged and truly tailor-made support reserved for artists is a real ‘plus’ that generates a vital dynamism in the development of an artistic career. Art Trope Gallery represents and supports its artists in all aspects of their art, and I am delighted with this collaboration.” – Barbara Christol
“Art Trope Gallery, or Virginie and her team, is an art gallery run with a business philosophy and a cooperative spirit. Virginie Tison is sensitive, passionate and attentive to artists. As a new-generation gallery owner, she encourages us to move forward in an organised, structured way and to find our own coherence throughout our career, which is unique to each Artist. We are coached, almost like an athlete preparing for the Olympic Games, but without the aches and pains. Working with Virginie means disseminating your art using today’s tools. More than ever, the exhibition, media coverage and economics of art have been turned upside down. Joining Virginie Tison’s Art Coach Master Class means learning not to put up with it, but to use it to better reveal yourself.” – Bruno Palisson
“I chose to join Art Trope Gallery because Virginie understands the challenges facing the art world today. She listens to both the artists and the market. You rarely meet people who are so passionate about their work, so it’s a privilege to be associated with them. With Art Trope Gallery, I feel well advised, promoted, supported, motivated and respected. “Working with Virginie Tison has been very beneficial for me and has given me the keys to carrying out well thought-out artistic projects with a clear guideline. The personalised, useful and precise advice, particularly when it comes to communicating my work (whether in writing or in pictures), is invaluable. The support provided by Art Coach has enabled me, so far, to clarify the direction I want to take in my artistic career, and to take part in events that suit me, while remaining artistically in tune with myself.” – Florence Sartori

“I wish to thank Virginie for this strategic interview which was a great help to me (beyond my expectations). The questions I had about the strategic direction of my artistic career were all addressed. Virginie explained important legal and IT points that I didn’t know. She also did an audit of my website, which was a great help. The kindness and trust I received made me feel listened to and supported as an artist! Thank you for a very constructive exchange.”
Claude C. – Strategic Interview August 2023 corresponding to the Master Class #1
“Virginie is the professional who has given me the best constructive and critical feedback, both in terms of communication (portfolio, website, social networks, positioning…) and artwork. Her advice is relevant and will help you make rapid progress. Her caring approach was to take the time to ensure that the strategic interview was effective, open and engaging. Meeting her was also a pleasure.”
Alexia C. – Promotion April 2023
“Life’s magic brings us, if we pay attention, the people and opportunities that allow us to grow along the way. Both artistically and on a human level, Virginie is more than welcome on my path, and I wish us every success as we grow together. The Strategic interview enabled me to learn not only about myself and my creative process, through direct and benevolent feedback, but also essential practical tips to facilitate my daily work in the studio as an oil painter. The monthly online meetings are little gems to be exploited rigorously and persistently, to fully develop your creative potential, and take your place in the art world with passion and brains. Everything is said and done to get there successfully, and our own work is supported by a caring, inspired and inspiring woman who is easy to talk to, professional and aware that leading us to our own success is part of hers too, and vice versa. I feel like I’m working as part of a team, and that I’ve chosen the best partner to help shape the chaos of our world into the ideal breeding ground for us to shine and grow together. Virginie has been through all the stages, from artist to businesswoman, so I feel I’m in good company, cheerfully and effectively supported to take my career seriously and still keep smiling, with faith, strength and inspiration!”

“I was cutting wood at home for 6 years. I also stored matches there, but wasn’t sure how to use them. Virginie taught me how to sort my firewood: choose the best logs, keep the green wood apart, put small branches under the larger pieces and then light a match. Then the warm crackle of the glowing fireplace can be observed. Virginie organized my mess, taught me how to use the tools available, and offered an expert, uncompromising but sympathetic view. She helps to highlight my work and encourages me to fully embrace my artistic approach. I used to chop wood; thanks to Virginie, I now know how to make a fire and this is just the beginning of a new story… “

“I’ve been following Virginie Tison’s coaching Master Classes for almost a year now, and I have to say that her teaching is already starting to bear fruit. My career has taken a real boost. Virginie taught me how to define a strategy and an editorial line, master the presentation of my works on social networks using easy-to-use tools, and professionalize my Internet referencing, all of which enabled me to achieve high exposure, both on the networks and on online art sales platforms. She also guided me through the creation of my website, which thanks to her is now the key reference to my whole online presence.Virginie Tison’s availability through regular one to one phone calls made all these achievements a reality. However, the benefits of her coaching go much deeper. Another side of her training is focused on the heart of career management: sales. Setting up an exhibition, communicating with the press and collectors all require a very clear approach, and again, professional coaching has given me more control over my image as an artist. Above all, attending Virginie Tison’s Art Coach Master Classes has forced me to be much more critical with my work, and spot weaknesses as well as strengths. This prompted me to refocus my approach on a few specific themes, to explore new avenues out of my comfort zone, and to enhance my work with new pictorial research in order to achieve a true singularity. Virginie Tison’s coaching helped me to make a real artistic change by teaching me how to control my visibility and communication. Today, I can clearly see that art market professionals are much more interested in my work than before, which allows me to pursue much more ambitious career goals.”

“To be an artist is not just about creating, it is about being in a dynamic and on multiple fronts all at once. Aware of this, I have taken many online trainings on business strategies for artists and supplemented them with readings. In spite of this, I had a feeling of being stuck, with results that did not match the work invested and with a growing lack of enthusiasm. Following Virginie Tison on Instagram, I took up her invitation to a presentation of her Art Coach activities by Visio conference. As Virginie Tison’s presentation was so passionate and frank, after two weeks of reflection, I signed up for a strategic interview. And there, from the first fifteen minutes, I understood the basics of a professional activity, the Why and the How! Her insight about my digital identity, my events communication, about the coherence of my series and technical aspects of my works allowed me to understand that each action is part of a whole whereas I was working in a fragmented way. Thanks to her easy explanations, I finally understood how to develop my artistic career. Virginie Tison’s qualified external viewpoint allows us to diagnose the weak points, check the bases of a digital communication strategy with the right tools and tips to pinpoint fake professionalism leading to a lack of progress. From the start, my collaboration with Virginie Tison boosted my motivation because I finally have the answers I was looking for and I also feel supported. “
